Notes

Pattern
Cowl
With White and an 11½ mm hook, ch 25.
Row 1: Working in back ridges, make 2 dc in second ch from hook, dc in next 21 chs, dc dec – 24 dc.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn. Working in bk lps, sc across – 24 sc. This is the rs as this single crochet row creates the ridges of the whipped cream cowl. Next, ch 1 and turn. Working in free lps (or ft lps of row 1), make 2 dc in first st, dc in next 21 sts, dc dec – 24 dc.
Rows 3-18: Repeat row 2 16 times. Do not fasten off.

Begin joining first and last rows. Remove hook from loop. Insert hook in ft lp of end st of row 1. Re-insert hook in lp and pull through, ch 1. Working through both thicknesses in the lps closest to the rs, sc in same st and across to join first and last rows (figure 1) - 24 sc. Next, fold piece down keeping rs out to bring top end to bottom end together (figure 4). Fasten off leaving a 48”/121.92 cm tail and whip stitch tail through both thicknesses or single crochet around joining the edges working through both thicknesses to seal the cowl: remove hook from lp, insert it through the other layer and pull up a lp (figures 2 and 3). Ch 1, working through both thicknesses, loosely sc along the edge, join in first sc (figure 4). Fasten off.

Sprinkles
Tubular Sprinkle
Do not join rounds.
With any color of the rainbow including pink and white, and a 4 mm hook, form an adjustable ring.
Ch 1, make 6 sc in ring – 6 sc. Working in a spiral, make 30 sc for a total of 6 rnds. Sl st for a smooth finish. Fasten off leaving a 6”/15.24 cm tail. Weave tail through ft lps of remaining 6 sts and cinch tight to close. Next, weave tail to the middle of the sprinkle (figure 5). Then, sew sprinkle to any two loops (to avoid the piece from hanging loosely on one loop) onto cowl.

Round Sprinkle
With any color of the rainbow including pink and white, and a 4 mm hook, form an adjustable ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, make 6 dc in ring, join – 6 dc.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, [sc dec, sc] 2x, join - 4 sc. Fasten off leaving a 6”/15.24 cm tail. Weave tail through ft lps of remaining 4 sts and cinch tight to close. Sew sprinkle to any two loops onto cowl.
